The Paradise Hospice House, a state-of-the-art facility with six private rooms, is the only one of its kind in Butte and surrounding counties. Hospice House provides around-the-clock inpatient services in a homelike setting to all eligible individuals needed hospice care. The living room, dining room, family room, and adjoining patios provide additional areas for family gatherings and patient socialization.
Hospice Team
The hospice team is designed to help care for the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patients and family in the home environment. The team consists of the Hospice Medical Director, attending physicians, specially trained nurses, home health aides, therapists, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers working closely with the patient and family.
We encourage the referring physician to remain involved in the care of the patients. The Hospice Medical Director will be available to make recommendations regarding treatment and symptom management.
Hospice Funding
Our program is a hospice licensed, Medicare and Medi-Cal certified agency, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization. Medicare and Medi-Cal provide a wide range of hospice benefits for eligible individuals. We negotiate with private insurance companies on behalf of our patients for the costs of our services. Memorial gifts and other donations are gratefully accepted.
