Feather River Hospital�s Critical Care Unit is designed to constantly monitor each patient�s condition. Our 12 patient rooms are all in direct view of the central nurse�s station. From here, each patient�s cardiac monitor and other equipment, is continuously observed by specially trained staff.
The unit is staffed by specially trained RN\'s who have completed critical care training and are certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. We understand that the monitors and equipment used in the Critical Care Unit may be overwhelming to visitors and we encourage you to ask your nurse any question you may have about the equipment being used in the care of your loved one.
The unit is served by several internists, 2 pulmonologists, and 2 cardiologists. Patients with serious cardiac, respiratory, GI, metabolic and multisystem disorders are routinely cared for in the critical care unit.
