Cancer Center�s Healing Garden Recognized
September 19, 2003 - The Paradise Garden Club recognized the Cancer Center�s Healing Garden as Commercial Garden of the month for September. The Paradise Garden Club recognizes two gardens a month, one commercial and one residential, in the Paradise area.
Dail Lodge, Director of Feather River Hospital�s Cancer Center, was pleased the Paradise Garden Club recognized the Healing Garden. �We are delighted that the Paradise Garden Club wanted to recognize our garden,� he said. �It is a showpiece, and provides a wonderful, tranquil setting for our patients and guests.�
Feather River Hospital will dedicate the Cancer Center�s new Healing Garden October 2 at 1:00 p.m. The Healing Garden will be dedicated in honor of Del Stankoven, a long-time employee and volunteer of Feather River Hospital. Del passed away from cancer in 2001.
