Cancer Center’s Healing Garden Recognized
September 19, 2003 - The Paradise Garden Club recognized the Cancer Center’s Healing Garden as Commercial Garden of the month for September. The Paradise Garden Club recognizes two gardens a month, one commercial and one residential, in the Paradise area.
Dail Lodge, Director of Feather River Hospital’s Cancer Center, was pleased the Paradise Garden Club recognized the Healing Garden. “We are delighted that the Paradise Garden Club wanted to recognize our garden,” he said. “It is a showpiece, and provides a wonderful, tranquil setting for our patients and guests.”
Feather River Hospital will dedicate the Cancer Center’s new Healing Garden October 2 at 1:00 p.m. The Healing Garden will be dedicated in honor of Del Stankoven, a long-time employee and volunteer of Feather River Hospital. Del passed away from cancer in 2001.
