How do I get Home Health Services?
Your physician must refer you for home health services. To arrange for home care,
simply contact your physician or the Feather River Home Health Agency at (530)
872-3378.
What services are available?
• Registered Nurses for instruction and education on disease processes
(diabetes, cancer, lung & heart disease, etc.), new and changed medications,
providing wound care, IV administration, ostomy care, enteral feedings, catheter
care,
respiratory therapy, nutritional counseling, and pain control.
• Occupational Therapists for regaining independence in self-care, increasing
coordination, dexterity and strength of upper extremities, evaluation of needed
adaptive equipment to improve quality of life.
• Speech Therapy for regaining independence with swallowing, speech,
verbal expression, auditory comprehension, cognitive skills involving orientation,
attention,
memory, thought organization and problem solving.
• Physical Therapists for transfer and gait training, evaluation of hom
safety, equipment needs, therapeutic exercises, improve mobility and decrease
pain.
• Medical Social Services
for assessment of long term planning needs, social and emotional needs, counseling,
financial and community resources.
• Home Health Aides for assistance with activities of daily living such as personal
care, bathing, and dressing.
